Organic Radishes
Radishes are another great vegetable for salad eaters and one of the first vegetables a new organic gardener should try. They are easy to plant and can be grown all through summer and into the fall.
One should plant them early enough to avoid the summer heat as they will become hot and bolt to seed if they don’t get plenty of water. The best radishes are harvested in early summer, followed by a second planting in late summer, harvested early fall; as they only need about 20-25 days to grow.
